directly related to the Rockefeller business but are attempts to impugn her integrity in other contexts.  She's completely at liberty to counter any such attacks from any quarter, including from the Christie camp itself, as long as the particulars of the Rockefeller affair aren't part of her rebuttals.

they're looking at everything she said and when, trying to make it seem like she was lying.  But her version of the events and how they were reported is consistent with honesty.  Having it all memorized ahead of time and no gaps is often a sign of rehearsal.

When Steve was interviewing her, and he wondered what one could say to a vice mayor who made such a demand, she responded, what I did say was is every mayor required to approve a Christie project to get Sandy funding, and she said Kim said I know it's not right, but it is .... That wasn't in her notes, but she recalled that part when Steve asked.  That's a sign of honesty.

She had decided to not tell and to hope she'd get second round Sandy funding, and as the story got bigger she decided that telling would work better than keeping Christie's secret.  I wonder when the state made that decision to exclude cities that were on the river but not on the coast. That made it clear that no Sandy money would come to Hoboken. It wasn't based on future dangers or on extent of damage or on density of population, or on anything other than, 'only for the coast.'

Does anyone know when Hoboken got written out of Sandy aid?

"In a set of written questions, Zimmer was asked, "Do you keep a diary, calendar or other means of keeping appointments and notes? If yes, identify the method by which you maintain your calendar.

"The mayor answered, "My calendar is kept in a Google account. The Google account as preceded by an Outlook calendar," according to court documents.

      "Zayas said that Zimmer lied."

She was asked if she had another way of keeping track of appointments and notes, and she didn't use her diary to keep track of appointments and notes.  That's the out of context allegation.

So, they've used her spontaneous revelations, when that's a sign of honesty, and out of context to pretend she kept her diary a secret (if Kim had only known?) and some fight with a guy who wanted to pick the city legal firm.

it's a hit piece, but without substance, and that shows there can't be much if they have to 'present' it correctly to smear her.

    •  ??? Her diary. Notes re Christie's pressure (0+ / 0-)

delivered by Lt Gov.  Re Rockefeller development THEN Sandy funds for Hoboken.  ie Pressure re quid pro quo with Federal funds.

Yeah, I think the US Atty's request covers this.

I agree.  It's concerned fluff.  Don't break US Atty's direction to rebut an empty hit piece.
