The police shouldn't have more rights than anyone else.
The "bear" part of the Bill of Rights is a right.

I don't see how this part of your statement:

There are many, many yahoo's out there with guns.
    supports your argument against CCW

    •  This is the dumbest comment I've ever seen (0+ / 0-)

Do you suppose you get the right to interrogate people?  Do you have the right to collect evidence?

You and your RKBA friends aren't cops, you must remember that.  Nobody needs you to protect them.

      •  You're not only incorrect; you aren't even wrong. (0+ / 0-)

        1) a) Yes, people can collect evidence. For instance I have presented numerous pieces of evidence of the political consequences of your viewpoint on this matter.....or have you just 'proven' that there is no such thing as 'investigative reporting' or 'scientific inquiry'?

"Evidence-the available body of facts or information indicating whether a belief or proposition is true or valid."
        b) Yes, people can interrogate. What do you think 'interrogation' means? Here, let me help.
Synonyms for interrogate: question, cross-question, cross-examine, quiz, catechize; interview, examine, debrief, give someone the third degree.
        2) Allow me to be more specific in order to clear up your confusion: "The police shouldn't have more civil rights than anyone else.
"Civil Rights-These are the rights that are granted to every citizen of the United States by the constitution and all of its amendments."
Something extraordinarily dumb has been said in this thread.
        Thanks for your contribution.

        •  Oh, lord, Frank, you fancy yourself (0+ / 0-)

          quite the investigator, don't you?

You know that you can join the police academy, right?  I might advise you against it, even older guy in excellent shape can have trouble competing against 20 year old cadets.  I have a friend who had always wanted to be a state trooper, but he tore his ACL trying to keep up with the young guys.

But if you really, really, really want to be a cop, you should go for it, rather than just pretending.
