    brings the larger pattern more into view. Whether Scott Walker, Chris Christie, Rod Blogojevich, or the next pol to rise beyond his own hubris. Each one's story, investigated by a free press, makes the contours of the next one, AND the last one all that much clearer.

    We may never be entirely free of cronyism and corruption in politics, but we can always hope for it to be unearthed wherever it's hidden.

    Scott Walker may think he got away with the malfeasance all around, but next time he runs for office, the sun will be shining bright, and his choice of associates will be as prominent as any policy agenda.  

    It's little wonder why voters dislike politics like they do. When the duplicities of officeholders and candidates are laid bare, there's little left to admire or support - except "the other guy..."

      and there is a second John Doe probe involving the recall campaign and illegal coordination with outside spending groups, but I'm not going to get my hopes up this time
