The new right eye is online and performing at 110% of rated capacity. On my follow-up visit to the surgeon today (there was a parade of familiar faces from yesterday's surgery pipeline in the office today), my right eye was tested at 20/20. I have no pain, no irritation, and feel better than ever. As a test of my new powers, I looked across the street and could easy read (with the one eye) the license plates on the cars across the street. I could never read those details before.

Issue: As I described earlier, my surgeon is in the one-eye-at-a-time camp, and my left eye is scheduled to be done 4 weeks later. But due to my intense near-sightedness and astigmatism, the images presented to my brain from the new right eye, and the old left eye, are quite different. Surgeon took pity on me for that, and talked to the scheduling people about bumping me up in the schedule. So, the good news is that I get the second eye done in two weeks, rather than four.

But it is still going to be a challenging two weeks, temporarily balancing the abilities of distance and close-up vision.

There's no such thing as a Free Information Kit. There is, however, advertising.
