or was prior to vaping. An adult smoker. Every.Single.One.  It's not a snow cone.  No one is selling it to kids, marketing it to kids or using it to "hook" people into nicotine addiction - every "flavour" is available nicotine free.

How about you stop trying to tell adults what they can and can't do in their free time?  It cuts out second hand smoke. It greatly lowers nicotine usage in the vast majority of people who choose to use it. It's a private matter for the adult consumer if they prefer cinnamon, smooth tobacco or king cake flavour - no different than having a preference for a particular schnapps or flavoured vodka.

Pretending that controlling others is a public health matter has no place in a reality based community for Democrats.

What do you think this does:

      http://www.stateoftobaccocontrol.org/...

"That" is just "Joe Camel" marketing cleaned up and modernized a bit.

Everything else in your comment is a denial of United States public health law that gives jurisdiction over drug delivery devices to the U.S. FDA.

I happen to be one of them.  I just happen to like my nicotine tobacco flavoured.

It's not like you just stop liking sweet stuff when you turn 18 or 21.

It's the same reason there is flavoured vodka and other alcohols.  It's for adults who like sweet stuff.

"Think of the chidrenz" is bullshit.  Pure bullshit.  You want to control adult behaviour, and if using the old "chidrenz" approach will let you do it - then you will stoop.   Nothing new here at all - you still want to control adult behaviour you don't approve of - and no one asked you.

        •  The flavor/children attack line is insidious (0+ / 0-)

It relies on the emotional attachment to children to short-circuit rational thought. It's frankly ridiculous.

I mean who has more choice about what flavor of anything they get, children or adults?

The crusaders know that parents will ignore anything including what is right, proven, or moral, to defend their children against a perceived threat. The cynicism on the crusaders' part is disgusting.

You are the only person I see here crusading - and it's against adults having choice and free will to use a product as they see fit under the moral panic of "teh chidrenz" - and I call shenanigans.

Every single adult I've ever met used to be a child.  Every single one.  So it's not inherently a marketing scheme to children to appeal to an adult's inner child in products for adults.  Not in vodka, not in vaping.

You are using moral panic as a proxy for something YOU don't like.  And we're not buying it.

either they have no interest in smoking at all or they are smoking cigarettes. My friend is working to get the teens she works with to quit smoking.  She says they hate vaping and either they just stop smoking because they cannot afford to buy cigarettes or they keep smoking. She says she does not see teens talking about vaping at all. They all either seem more interested in cigarettes or pot but not a word about ecigs at all. IN fact, she knows some people who trying to get their teens to stop smoking by using any ecigs as these are teens who have been smoking a few years now..but it is tough to get them to quit at such a young age where they feel they will live forever. We have all been there..vaping does not interest them.
