    "When did you decide to be straight?"

    (For the record, I really don't like the term straight, since it still seems pretty heteronormative.  Any alternatives to it people can suggest?)

      either. As an old hippie that term is an insult in a way, a description of someone who can only follow the rules and stay on the straight and narrow.

      There really is no normal and IMO "straight" only defines a small subset of the general population.

      I can't think of a term, tho.
