Men don't get pregnant, and biology isn't equal. Is this really so hard to understand?

Conservatives don't freak out at fertility treatments and claim they offend God. Conservatives want women pregnant.  They only care about birth control.

All mens sex drugs and aids serve to help get more women pregnant. Or at least, they don't prevent pregnancy.

There's no reason to act all surprised about this.

about this. Is that really what you get out of this diary?

This all started with "what the Republicans did to language".

      •  Yeah, why is it odd? (0+ / 0-)

What's so odd about conservatives ignoring men's sex aids that aren't contraception?
Why the line "Hey, why aren't conservatives all mad about people having sex with tax dollars?"

Conservatives like sex. Specifically unprotected hetero sex that makes babies. They're not going to complain about that.  Ever. And they see no contridiction. They hate birth control and that's it.

        So again, why the surprise?

    •  Erm... I have a technical question *raises hand* (0+ / 0-)

Would the men here (and anyone else who knows) tell me if condoms are covered by insurance?

      Just curious...'cause they should be.

      •  Not to my knowledge (0+ / 0-)

Why should they be covered?  Condoms cost $1, tops. Most people spend a lot more than $1 on a date trying to get laid. And babies cost way more than $1, I assure you.

Buying condoms doesn't require a doctors visit for a checkup or a prescription.
Plus, insurance is for profit, meaning they mark things up. For every $1 condom you get for "free", your policy goes up $1.50. Just buy them yourselves.

And if you can't afford $1, you've got bigger problems than sex to worry about.  Take care of business, then play.

    •  Um actually there is a backlash against fertility (0+ / 0-)

And again, WHO CARES WHAT CHURCHERS THINK? They have no right to legislate their bullshit on the rest of us.

      Hello Separation Clause!

Gentlemen, congratulations. You're everything we've come to expect from years of government training (Zed, MIB).

    •  Actually, conservatives DO freak out (0+ / 0-)

about fertility treatments.  We did IVF for our son, and when I was undergoing the treatment, there were protestors outside the medical facility where we were doing the treatments.  They weren't in our faces or anything, they way they are (or want to be) at Planned Parenthood, but they were there.  Why?  Because embryos are created in the lab and not every embryo makes it either to the uterus or survives once it's transferred.  Of course, these people are so ignorant about biology, they have no idea that this is what happens when people attempt to have kids through sexual intercourse, too.  The vast amount of ignorance about the basic mechanisms of gestation is shocking.

    •  Oh, actually they DO object (0+ / 0-)

to things like IVF because unimplanted embryos and stuff. Unless, of course, your name is Rmoney® whose spawn have borne at least 3 grandchildren this way.

No, Republicons will stop at nothing to insert themselves into America's ladybusiness, whatever form that takes.

I'll believe corporations are people when one comes home from Afghanistan in a body bag.
