  •  Actually if we produced biofuels from sewage alone (0+ / 0-)

    we could reduce our dependency upon fossil fuels by 10%. We need the process our sewage and garbage anyway we might as well turn it into biofuels that are not toxic if spilled and produce 85% less CO2 when burnt. If we couple the process to grow algae, the biofuel output can be greatly enhanced. This is what two small companies in CA have done and they produce enough advanced biofuels to fuel 20,000 vehicles a day.

      there's certainly a lot of black/brown grease in sewage to turn into biodiesel.  If we reduce the denominator enough, it'd be true of fossil fuel.
