    ...I was surprised that the city owned some Bobcats that they used to clear the sidewalks on the arterials. That was back in the 70's, and I don't know if they do that any more, considering the poor current economy up there. We don't have anything like that in Chicago.

    Got a call from brother dcnw this evening: he and my sister-in-law were on vacation in Florida at her brother's condo. Because of the impending storm, they are stuck there for a while, since driving back to Maryland would be right through the worst of the storm in North Carolina.

    Calamity Jean says spring can show up any time now, and the sooner the better. I concur.
