  •  exactly the same, tit for tat, except for (0+ / 0-)

    complete power
    forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism
    regimenting all industry.. etc

aggressive nationalism and racism, yes, though real fascists don't use dog whistles.

to believe. And our own side has been all too cooperative. Forcibly suppressing opposition? Did you see what happened to Occupy protestors? As for regimenting industry they've short circuited that requirement and just handed government over to industry. Cuts out the middle-man. Yeah, we're not 1930's Germany. But I could see how we can get there from here and that shouldn't be the case.

Food processed to be nothing more than simple starches with two dozen flavorings and stabilizers added to make it appear to be food isn't "food". It's "feed" -- what you give to livestock to fatten them up for slaughter.

I witnessed 3 big cops tackling Occupy Albany's lead organizer, who is so vertically challenged he could look up to Robert Reich, apparently for the offense of trying to discuss it when they ordered us to stop marching in the street.

We are winning this in court, and he wasn't really brutalized like e.g. John Lewis in Selma, where the Alabama cops fractured his skull.  That was typical outrageous police brutality, gross human rights violations which contributed to the national defeat of The Lost Cause (which the Tea Party is trying to resurrect).

Actual fascists just disappear people. Even the lynching of the 3 civil rights workers in Mississippi was a near last gasp of what could be characterized as a caste system enforced by Klan terror, a very different phenomenon from fascism.

Yes, the US Right has authoritarian tendencies, and plutocracy is running rampant, buying pols wholesale.  But equating that to fascism is a simlar error to what Hunter is ridiculing in the diary.
