    ...and not just because his presidential hopes are pretty much ashes by this point. I understand he's trying to play to the one group of voters who have actually grown to like him more since this mess broke (the mental patients that form the GOP base), but does he really think he can win them over from other 2016 hopefuls like Paul, Cruz and their ilk? Not likely.

    But at least he's still got his Beltway groupies like Joe, Nicole, Marky-Mark and Jen on his side.

      rMoney had the establishment support, so he got the nom, and the fringers voted for him dutifully if reluctantly.

      But for Christie to make a run at the fringers to be his new base?  Way too much competition from far purer exemplars of that brand.  And those fringers already hate him, more than they did rMoney.

      Despite the RNC's best efforts, is 2016 shaping up to be an even more entertaining primary than the last outing?
