    The stuff I'm getting looks like it's meant to establish a long-term relationship. Emails with titles like

    Gas Prices Update
    RFS (Renewable Fuel Standards) vs. Reality
    Bipartisan Support for Hydraulic Fracturing
    America's Energy, America's Choice
    Infrastructure Investment Keeps Jobs and Energy Flowing

    These emails are chocked full of "information" that I - and thousands of other local elected officials - can use in my local planning, I assume. The one's I've actually looked at don't ask me to do anything, they're just rah-rah propaganda for burning more and more oil. Drill Baby Drill!

    (I'm probably a bit of a moderate on energy policy, but when I see this stuff come into my inbox my spidey-sense starts tingling.)
