  •  Amen. Corker is Lying. (8+ / 0-)

A real newspaper would expose his lie.  Instead, the Chattanooga Times Free Press gives Corker cover and support.   Corker said someone told him that VW would build SUVs in Chattanooga if the union lost the election.  The VW Plant Manager in Chattanooga said that was not true.  In other words, "Corker is lying."

Now the Chattanooga Times Free Press has printed a story saying:

Corker said today that the decisions regarding the Volkswagen expansion are not being made by anyone in management at the Chattanooga plant.

The former Chattanooga mayor said he is “very aware Frank Fischer is having to use old talking points when he responds to press inquiries.”

There should be consequences for such blatant lying and union-busting as what Corker has done.

Chattanooga VW workers:  YOU can give Corker the consequences.  Cram it up his arse.  VOTE YES FOR UNION!

It's Morning in America (and the GOP has a hangover).

    •  he's right in that they wouldn't be making (7+ / 0-)

the decision... that would be done in Germany. However, if he thinks the plant manager in Chattanooga wouldn't have a hell of a lot of input into that decision and would definitely be in the loop as far as knowing about it, he's got no idea about the German manufacturing process.  They don't follow the koch brothers system where a guy 3000 miles away makes a decision based on whatever his ideology is at that moment in time.  They've seen the flaws of that decision making process when GM did it and went to hell.  It's a consensus model rather than a "CEO is god" model.
