  •  It's interesting that only Italy is ranked worse (0+ / 0-)

    when for all intents and purposes France, Germany and the UK either have their own programs like the NSA or are directly involved in the 5 Eyes program.

    I also have to wonder if Norway is going to drop given the recent articles about their part in helping the NSA.

      but i think the u.s. was particularly downgraded for the way the administration goes after people like manning, risen and snowden. it's much more than the nsa story.

        named all of those people I would say that that is probably accurate. I'm not entirely sure I agree with the report's emphasis on that but well as you said the next year will indeed be interesting. I'm rather curious to see if section 215 (as I believe it is called) will be renewed or not come summer.
