that making the existing model obsolete is now an act of terror and makes you not only an enemy of the state but a enemy of the lesser evil Democrat's who are running the show. From city/county/state government to the Feds I'm finding the existing model does not allow any building that challenges their grip on power. Any building on a community level must get a permit from the bent pols who have power and work hard to keep ordinary people powerless to stop progress and development. Hard to build any new model when it's illegal and blocking the existing 'inevitable' reality. Once built they simply call out the goon squad to tear it down as it's unsightly and illegal.

it would help if a site like dKos would stop pandering to brand politics and start posting stories about communities successfully fighting pipelines, police brutality, corruption, water thieves, using eminent domain to reclaim foreclosed upon homes and return them to their owners... there are many things happening around the country.

the biggest value of a site like dKos would be to expose all of these small groups to a wider audience and connect them.

we need to see what works and all those finding ways of making it work.

in fact, here's a blog that is nominated for a Nobel peace prize:

National Priorities Project... they've been around for 30 years and cut through all the partisan bullshit. it doesn't matter about political parties... it matters who is committed to making the world (starting with USofA) more equitable, sane, and sound.

Good to read you. My computer's motherboard literally melted down. I have been getting up early and using my husbands but it's our bread and butter machine and I have cut down my blogging. Might just be a good thing. How are you doing? Always a pleasure to come upon your posts. Hope your life, loves and bicycling are going strong.

and always happy to run into you too...

how are you? i think you ought to write more, not less... but we both need a blog more responsive to issues than to maintaining power of political parties.

I'll be getting a new computer one of these days so I will write more. Analog is okay for now as it makes me think outside the binary loop hat both politics and the blogs operate under. Glad your doing okay. Struggling to maintain our existence and well being in Axelrod's 'world as we find it' is at this point sapping all our energy and creativity.

Don'tcha know that 'issues' are not important and are secondary to getting more Democrat's elected. It's a data driven numbers game and your 'white privilege' is showing when you start looking at cause and effect or dare to not think double. See you around dear pfiore.
