    ..but I was under the impression that MoveOn lets anyone or their mother initiate an online petition.

    Personally I think online petitions are about as useful as "tits on a boar-hog," but where's the harm in this?

        The wing-nuts don't have a monopoly on ridiculous. They've just elevated it to something to aspire to - and organize the ignorance.

        If the petition gets off the ground and garners a lot of signatures there may be useful information for analysts to gauge the amount, and level of anger in MoveOn's camp.

        I just don't see the harm.
