  •  Yes you do work for the insurance companies. (0+ / 0-)

You're helping sell their policies.  Corporate America thanks you for your support.

    •  No, I'm getting people covered (8+ / 0-)

so they can afford to see a doctor and get medications they need, and half the folks I talk to end up getting MediCal.  The other half get insurance policies they can actually afford, which they're always overjoyed about.  They don't have the luxury of rejecting coverage because they don't want their money going to corporations.  They want and need coverage so they can go see a doctor and really don't give a damn whether it's public or private insurance.

I don't work for private insurers any more than people who administer the food stamp program work for big agriculture.

    •  DougInNYC, there is something you seem to have (0+ / 0-)

overlooked.  Knowing that Medicare for all and single payer would NEVER fly with Congress the best alternative at that time was Obamacare.

Yes, it is giving the insurance companies millions of new customers, BUT, the best news you overlook are the 10 requirements insuirances companies MUST adhere to, the rules of the road that is Obamacare.

Policyholders can't get screwed over anymore.  No more bankruptcies, losing homes because you or your child became seriously ill and your insurance policy didn't pay what you thought it did.  Etc., Etc., Etc.

    •  So what if he does? (0+ / 0-)

      Healthcare is healthcare.

ODS results in Obama's amazing ability to humiliate his biggest critics, on the right and the left.
