    There are some fundamentalists who claim that the only way someone could actually support gay people, with the exception of family grudgingly giving limited acceptance to someone while still trying to get them to become heterosexual, is if they themselves felt same-sex attraction.

    So anyone from one of those churches could legitimately claim to have a religious belief that anyone who doesn't support anti-gay measures is likely or almost probably gay.
