I'm not sure there's been a single day since we met -- at a performance of mine-- that she hasn't heard me play. Even on days I was puking I was at least whistling.

After 30 years, 16 hours of peace and quiet might be the simplest and cheapest gift I could possibly give!!!

Thanks for the diary. We went out for Valentine's dinner tonight thinking to beat the rush, and found ourselves in a half hour long line behind all the other people who thought to beat the rush.

I may take you up on that cook-at-home idea. It happens that Herself is away house sitting for a friend for a few days, so a meal at home not cooked by her will be somewhat exotic.

to beat the rush. I hear that Saturday reservations are high, too. Home diner, may indeed be the best bet.

My hubby is a musician and I can see your point. Sometimes silence IS golden.

      Have a lovely dinner!

Thank your stars you're not that way/Turn your back and walk away/Don't even pause and ask them why/Turn around and say 'goodbye'/Just wish them well.....
