Do we need to help you back away from the computer?

No! I'm not in Florida. We are snowed in, in Weston, outside of Boston, where it is cold, and dark. It's gets dark at 4:30 pm and is still dark past 6 in the morning. My friend gets really clinically severe Seasonal Affective Disorder.

So, she hasn't gotten out of bed all day.  And, seems to be trying  test the limit of my declaration that "I loved her so much, I'd get her anything from downstairs." I've been up and down at least 30 time today. Which is much needed exercise.

I've been thinking of going out to get food, but we've got about a foot of snow in our driveway. I made it out yesterday by revving down the driveway and ramming through a 2 and half foot mound piled high by the street plows.

Our move has a hard deadline in July so we're probably going to rent in Cape Coral, or Sarasota, Fl until we can figure out Florida real estate's many unique issues, like sink hole, flood zones, sub-standard Chinese drywall, swamps, water tables, HOAs, etc. But, the prices are about 1/4 of what they are in the Boston area. No basements, and generally smaller, but still attractive.

Our friends around here say we're going to feel isolated in a "cultural wasteland," which for the hard-core "Boston-is-the-center-of-the-cultural-universe" crowd starts just past the 128 beltway.

But, we can not stand the snow any longer and my son and her daughter are both in college now, so we have a new found freedom for the first time in about 30 years.
