    That's my point!

People disagree. So saying 'don't be sexist'  isn't effective, if people as smart as John Cole and Oliver Willis honestly don't think that 'psycho ex-girlfriend' is sexist.

racial and sexist epithets are good to go?!?!?!

      WTF?

      •  Yeah, that's what I'm saying. (0+ / 0-)

My point is that you're begging the question.

You're saying 'don't be sexist or racist', presuming that we agree what that means. We don't. If you said, 'Don't say anything that 10 other kossacks find sexist or racist,' I might disagree with you, but I'd think you have a point.

Right now, your point is, 'Don't say anything that I feel is even borderline sexist or racist.' Which is not perhaps as useful as you imagine.

But I guess I'm mostly being disruptive at this point. It wasn't intentional, I just find this stuff interesting, but for that I do apologize, and I will commence to fuck off.

    •  Why is "psycho ex-girlfriend" sexist? (0+ / 0-)

If the person in question is an ex girlfriend, and is "psycho" as in deranged in some way, why is it sexist to use that term?
