  •  i totally agree with the premise of the diary, (0+ / 0-)

but that example seems like reaching, and I distinctly had the impression Josh supported Hillary until after Super Tuesday when her campaign just became embarrassing for everyone.  I don't think anyone out there thinks there's a good argument that Hillary Clinton's been too harsh towards Mark Penn over the years, and I've certainly seen "neutered" in similar context without any sort of problem.

    Difficult, difficult, lemon difficult.

Josh did NOT support Hillary, certainly not formally, was incredibly hostile to her in fact imo.

And "geld" was obviously a sexist term.

      As in castration.

You have to be kidding me on that one.

      •  so, we're adopting a per se rule, (0+ / 0-)

no castration?  I mean, the phrasing equates Penn's power within the campaign to his sexual prowess (threw up a little), but it's not a completely inaccurate way to explain being not-quite-fired.  Maybe if it were someone other than Mark Penn in the subject, as someone who seemed to have too much power over Clinton, not vice versa, it'd be worse.  There's a suggestion of overstepping when the "nutcracker" thing is used in a sexist way, but that's not the case in that example, quite the contrary.  The blog in question was also clearly cataloging examples of sexist comments, so that likely contributed to seeing anything marginal as obviously sexist.

As for Josh, I'm sure you saw it that way, but I think he only turned hostile late in the game.  He was fond of suggesting Obama wasn't ready and his campaign was nice and all, but he should (and will be made to) wait his turn.

[U]ntil after Super Tuesday when her campaign just became embarrassing for everyone.
What was infuriating were the complaints, "why doesn't she just quit?"
