The democratic party is filled with qualified, self-made women who are natural politicians, yet for some reason people gravitate to the wife of a popular two-term president, a woman who is a mediocre politician and orator, who has little to show for her time in office and who's major executive accomplishment is the early 90s HCR debacle.

Coincidence?  Not likely.  I believe HRC is popular because people feel more secure in supporting a woman who has a strong and experienced husband to look after her.  They need to have male around to keep the woman president in her place.  Never mind what the real arrangement would be, that is how voters will rationalize putting HRC in power.  It's an entirely different act than voting for a women who is married to some unknown guy.

Imagine for a moment if the first black president had run with a former (white) president as his VP.  It's pretty obvious how that would look.  Why is it any different with a woman?  Oh first man isn't the same as VP, is it?  Bullshit, it's worse.  A VP doesn't necessarily even see the president outside cabinet meetings.  A first man like Bill Clinton will be intimately involved with his wife's presidency, and like I noted earlier, appearance is important since HRC would be the first woman president.  We need the first woman president to be a powerful leader with unquestionable authority.  That is impossible with an HRC presidency.
