  •  Blake Farenthold holds a seat in South Texas, not (6+ / 0-)

East TX (he's from Corpus and Central Texas).
Cruz and Cornyn, nuff said, but not native to East TX either.

BTW, Farenthold has a very worthy Democratic opponent who stands a chance of dislodging his fat butt from congressional office, (TX-27th District) Wesley Reed, USMCR LtCol.
Let's all help out with this one...  This is a race that should get some national exposure, the contrast between the candidates is stark: an 'entitled heir' teabagger vs. a genuine self-made, hardworking, multi-talented honorable family man.

    •  Have you submitted this to Bill? (0+ / 0-)

I think on last weeks Real Time (or maybe the week before.) he mentioned something about his "Flip a District" goal.

      Might be worth doing.

      •  Never seen Maher. There was another blog (0+ / 0-)

that discussed this here: juanitajean.com  Flip A District.
I also commented about it back here, et al.
Yes indeed, getting the word out with national exposure would be worth doing.

BTW, I spoke to (LtCol) Wesley Reed (he called back after I emailed), he's a USMC and FedEx pilot who lives near the in-district NAS-CC.
I asked him what plane he flew in the Marines, and he said an F/A-18 Hornet ferchrissakes (among qualifying in other types)! One of the hottest, baddest aircraft ever.

How many favorable traits does a Democratic candidate have to have in order to attract some national support around here?

If we Democrats can't get a hardworking Democratic Marine Corp LtCol (former) fighter pilot elected to the US House, whose opponent is an 'entitled' chickenhawk teabagger, I'm going Green or something...
