life in jail? Is it 20 years mandatory for each attempted murder? I have no trouble picturing a judge cutting it down to, say, 20 years concurrent or 10 years for each totaling 30. That would make him exactly my age when he got out, and I've got lots of life left to enjoy. Hell of a lot more than Jordan got!

It's a minimum mandatory 20 years in prison for attempted murder in Florida.  And each charge must be done consecutively, again in Florida.  So he is looking at a minimum sentence of 60 years, plus whatever he gets for the other charge he was convicted of (launching a deadly weapon) or something like that.
