  •  WHO in "the office" made this statement? (13+ / 0-)

Was the statement approved from the sunny south before being released?

Will "the office" or "sources familiar with the situation" deny this statement if it is not well accepted by the public?

Or did "the office" just gear up its autodialer and fax machine and send this statement without any human involvement?

The only relevant Christie news today is that the governor is "on top of things" by refreshing himself out of the country while the citizens of New Jersey keep digging out of the storm of the century.

Oh, well, nothing new from Trenton.

"When I use a word," Humpty Dumpty (Chris Christie, Antonin Scalia, or Scotty Walker (pick your favorite) said in rather a scornful tone, "it means just what I choose it to mean -- neither more nor less."

to be throw a lot of stuff out there and see how people react to it.  If it gets trashed like their hit job on Wildstein, then we learn the Governor knew nothing about it.

      •  Exactly. Like a voicemail from a desk... (4+ / 0-)

One of my pet peeves.. "You have reached the desk of..."

        DESKS do not answer phones.

OFFICES do not release press statements.

Some human actually wrote that denial (unless we assume the Christie OFFICE is being run by a supercomputer or other artificial lifeform).

Some human (used to be Drewniak, who knows today) is/was responsible for releases to the public from Christie's office, if not Christie himself.

Another Christie example of "the buck stops anywhere but here."

intelligence and sends out all this errant missives at night after poor Christie and staff go home.

And, unbeknownst to anyone, the AI computer order the bridge closings as well.

"The computers did it by themselves."

"See, I told you I didn't know anything."

            Thanks for posting.

Just set a personal office so it can issue confident statements of denial whenever one gets in hot water.
