  •  Union Dues (0+ / 0-)

You said, "(Not actually true. You're required to pay a fee covering the union's cost of representing you, but you don't have to join the union.)"

    A couple of points.

First, no one will tell you that you do not have to join the union when you start work in a union shop.  If someone did tell, it would be unusual.  The assumption by union officials is that every worker would rather be a union member.

Then there is the fact that if you don't join, but still pay the dues (which is what you are talking about), you have no rights in union business, no vote on policy issues.  I don't know of many would would pay for protection service and not want a say in how that service works.

Your attack on JtP, and  lot of what I see on the Kos, seem to be a lot of hate speech directed at those who in any way are opposed to progressive policies.  Progressive policies, such as wealth redistribution, social justice and the entitlement mentality, have all been tried before under different names and those societies have all failed or are failing right now.

I've concluded that you're a sleeper, freeper, troll here. Registered a long time ago, and mouth the Rescummie party line talking points like it was programmed in (most on this diary).
Nothing but rote distortions and nonfactual statements, mover shove off, Bubba.
You sound like NJTNP's personal (R) handler, hope they're paying you more than Joe, anyway (a really low level party apparatchik, eh?).
