    don't seem to understand that.

LOL, I'll never forget my sister's disappointment when she volunteered for a Dem POTUS campaign in St. Louis.  She said the kids running it were from DC, didn't seem to care much at all about running a grassroots campaign.   She said they spent most of their time acting like frat boys, trying to get laid by the young women volunteers they recruited.  In the heaviest Dem part of Missouri, they got little to nothing accomplished.

To her credit, she stuck it out through election day, but vowed to never volunteer for a local POTUS campaign again.  I suspect she'll change her mind if Hillary runs.

The Obama campaign in 2008 brought several Chicago kids to Mansfield. They were great kids: intelligent, hard-working. & very supportive of local issues & needs. In 2012 almost all campaign workers were Ohioans. I think the 2008 Obama campaign really helped Ohio Democrats.

after taking all the money they could raise and making promises about helping in the midterms.

I got a call from one of the OFA organizers about a week before the 2010 election, lol.  I'm guessing it was just to put on an appearance of helping get Dems elected.

Obama and OFA took the money and donors and ran as fast as they could out of Ohio.  They've given some financial help to one or two candidates, but, obviously, we lost A LOT. Given the lack of enthusiasm, they won't help much this year either.  At least Dem voters have wised up and no longer donate to them.
