    VW all but came out and begged these workers to unionize, so if they were dumb enough to fall for Corkers bullshit, they are essentially reaping what they sowed.  

    Think they'll finally "get it" now, in retrospect?  Doubtful.  They'll buy the nonsense already coming from the goonish anti-unionist camp that AG Metall is somehow being "thuggish" in telling the company no expansion at a shop that doesn't want to unionize.  They'll completely ignore that German companies don't have adversarial relationships with their unions and that many decisions are made via co-determination - which is where German companies get their competitive edge.
