Democracy is messy - and it's likely that the Ukraine opposition is coalition of groups with the same general goal(remove the current government) but with very different ideas of 1. how to achieve this and 2. what the new government would look like.

This means that there are probably pro-democratic protestors along side center right nationalists with a smattering of Nazi's for good measure. Right now, they are united in their fight against a government that is willing to use violence.

Look, I tried to be reasonable...

their fight against a government that is willing to use violence
which so many fail to ask is, 'how willing is the opposition to use violence in a fight against the government?'.

Lamb chop, we can quibble what to call it, but I think we can both agree it's creepy.

"street fighting".  I think it's fairly obvious that at least some in the opposition are willing to use violence. I hope this truce can hold and progress toward some sort of power sharing arrangement. One can hope. This could very easily devolve into a real mess - multiple opposition groups and a silent plurality who at least somewhat support the government

I wonder what D.C. would look like if protesters took over the FBI headquarters and other government buildings while building flaming barricades down the length of Pennsylvania Avenue... Just wondering.

I thought Nuland had decided that "Kleech" was out of the picture.
