  •  I'm glad to see you support ending the prohibition (3+ / 0-)

against the entire genus of cannabis plants. But, let's not forget the economic impact of cannabis hemp. The marijuana question is only a minor factor when you look at just how much ending this prohibition against all cannabis plants would help rebuild our local economies. Just about everything we now make from timber and petroleum can made better, greener and less expensive from cannabis hemp cellulose, short fiber pulp, hemp seeds and hemp oil.

The cannabis hemp plant was on the verge of becoming our nation's first billion dollar crop before the passage of the Marihuana Tax Act of 1937 because of the invention of the hemp decorticator. Now that this prohibition is finally falling apart, hemp will again become an important commodity crop across America. Once our farmers are allowed to grow hemp as a normal rotation crop again there will be new small local factories and cottage style industries growing right alongside the hemp in the fields. Millions of new green living wage jobs will be created to produce the more than 50,000 products that can be made stronger, more durable and less expensive from locally grown hemp.

Really don't mind if you sit this one out. My words but a whisper -- your deafness a SHOUT. I may make you feel but I can't make you think..Jethro Tull
