    ....emergency techniques developed during the war in Vietnam, and picked up by civilian paramedics afterward, have greatly improved the chance of survival for someone with a serious gunshot wound. If that's the case, it's going to lower the number of people killed by guns all by itself. Anyone here with the medical knowledge needed to check that possibility?
