    I think your comment is worth a diary of its own, if you can flesh it out and add some links. It would be especially interesting in light of the piece Rachel did last night on a PA nurse's aide who's likely going to jail for helping her daughter obtain a medical (non-surgical) abortion since there was no place within driving distance where she could go for a legal one.

    We're going to start seeing more self-induced or off-license dangerous abortions, especially in rural areas of red states, where abortion is still technically legal but practically unobtainable. People are going to start understanding why Roe was decided in the first place (those of us over 65 have always understood).

      have changed rural attitudes toward legal abortion.

      That's the biggies for politics.

      But it doesn't take more than one or two criminal cases to put abortion on the front page.

      Social conservatives are used to having legal safe abortion, which they want to keep.
