  •  NSA did not issue the C+D order, DoJ did (0+ / 0-)

So I find myself in the very curious position of excusing the NSA, DoJ lawyers should have known better, this case was hopeless from the get-go.

Which suggests the DoJ lawyer was clueless, or working on instruction to harass, take your choice, I assume the latter given their behavior toward the press of late.

H/T to T Maysle for pointing out that, contrary to the misreporting the DoJ issued the C+D letters, in fact, the NSA and DHS did so.

mea culpa not to fact check.

      •  It takes about three minutes to read the Bill of (0+ / 0-)

Rights.  Whichever government department the Cease and Desist letters came from, it's a safe bet a lawyer composed it.

The idea that any lawyer paid by the Federal Government could think this kind of censorship is constitutional is a major disappointment.  Whoever sent it should be fired.

Every government employee, lawyer or not, ought to be familiar enough with the Constitution to know this kind of satire is protected.

We're all pretty strange one way or another; some of us just hide it better. "Normal" is a dryer setting.
