  •  That rules you out as a Democrat, imho. *shrug* (10+ / 0-)

It seems to me that no single-issue voter can claim to belong to a political party or support the election of its candidates. Politics always involves compromises, tradeoffs, log-rolling, conflicting issues.

Among the many issues we as Democrats care about are: International Issues, Domestic Issues, Economic Issues, Social Issues, Foreign Policy, Environment, Racism, Voting Rights, Elections, Campaign Finance, Budget, Economy, Education, Homeland Security, NSA, Privacy, Crime, Government Reform, Health Care, War & Peace, Drugs, Police, LBGT, Tax Reform, Judicial Nominations, Abortion, Free Trade, Civil Rights, Social Security, Families & Children, Immigration, Jobs, Welfare & Poverty, Inequality, Corporations, Energy, Technology & Infrastructure, Principles & Values, Community, Congress, Culture, Labor, Media, Science, Transportation, and the many other issues listed in the Party platform.

It's virtually impossible that we all agree on the same policy for all these issus, and during the primaries we may support different candidates and push different issues, yet we still come together and agree to support our Party's nominee. That's democratic politics.
