Is the apparent support young voters seem to have for Libertarian candidates like Ron Paul

Religion is like a blind man, in a pitch black room, searching for a black cat that isn't there.....and finding it.

    •  Might be the same credulous thinking (0+ / 0-)

Though I'm inclined to think Paul's young voters were more vocal than numerous.

    •  Meh, not really (0+ / 0-)

It's a relatively small proportion.  And libertarianism is just another idea that has always been appealing to a certain segment of young people, unaware of how the world really works.  I called myself a libertarian from my late high school years until my first year or so of college.  Experiencing college life and seeing how incredibly beneficial government programs like Pell Grants and government scholarships and loans was what pushed me from libertarianism to socialism.  Libertarianism is one of those philosophies people tend to stray away from as they age since it's a political philosophy that only sounds good in theory, but doesn't work in real life.
