    although I don't think in identity as "Ukrainians", where even the deepest parts of the east majority-identify as Ukrainians first.  That's why I don't anticipate the country splitting - the quasi-separatists in Lviv were promptly ignored by the rest of the country.  Obviously things can change, but given how important Ukrainian self-identity is, and the unwillingness with which anyone there is likely to let go of major chunks of their country, I'd be surprised if things went that way.

    Of course the radicals in Lviv could push things to openly-armed conflict, so we have to hope that doesn't happen.
