    ......what would switching to day shift do regarding the rest of your time?  (Of course, this is 3CM the social incompetent asking this question.)

      In theory I would have evenings free. But if you have to be at work by five or six a.m., how much evening do you have to play with before you have to go to bed?

      Working eight a.m. to six p.m. seems perfect. And really, it would be. But in practical terms, that is Eden, and my job is anything but.

      So that's kind of why I stick to what I have: maybe I have to work extra hours (time and a half!) but I don't have to be at work before two p.m. EVER, and we close at midnight, so I don't have to do an overnight after a ten-hour second shift.
