    In 2013, post Sandy, he got 31% of the Democratic vote according to a NY Times exit poll.  True that's a big increase over 2009 but still fairly low.  That is why he had to court (bribe and extort, if you prefer) endorsements from name Democrats.  He was after the appearance of Democratic support.  

    For the record, his margin of victory was from Republicans (93%) and unaligned/independants (66%). Together they represented 60% of the voters. NJ has a large contigent of unaligned voters.  In this election it was 31% of the voters.
