  •  I think you imagine "enemies" (0+ / 0-)

when it's actually people who just disagree with your tactics.
Some people would like to say anything they want without pushback, so they label people who disagree with them as "agents" and "provocateurs" and "trolls".

Your beliefs don't make you a better person. Your behavior does.

    •  U R correct on 1 thing, but 2 things can be true (0+ / 0-)

      1. Of course you are correct that some

people ... just disagree with your tactics.

Some people would like to say anything they want without pushback, so they label people who disagree with them as "agents" and "provocateurs" and "trolls".

      2. But how does this true point rebut the logic of the following?

What basis is there for believing, in the face of recent evidence summarized here by Digby,  that intelligence community culture was so fundamentally transformed by the root and branch reforms [sic] after the 1976 Church Committee report that,

      Although, pre-Church,

it shouldered the great expense, inefficiency and risks of placing of agents physically in meetings of platform-less dissident groups, where the agents’ performance was difficult to monitor,
      Now, after 9-11,

the intelligence community’s culture is so deferential, to the penumbra-cum-Constitutional right of citizens to engage in provocation-free activism, that it does the following?

Voluntarily forbears the opportunity to use the surplus bandwidth of its enormous workforce, at no additional expense, to engage in risk-free, efficient and fully-monitorable provocation and other trolling

of online communities, that are seeking to leverage the lowered communication costs of Internet platforms, to enable sharing, refining and publicizing dissident information, ideas and activities.
