  •  Religious Conservatives Are Ku Klux Kristians (12+ / 0-)

who vote 1 issue (Abortion) -- they are straight party Stupid voters who hate those who differ (No knowledge of candidates or issues required -- only need to know the letter "R").

Hatred for the teachings of Jesus Christ is common among extremist Ku Klux Kristians because Jesus preached social and economic justice for the poor and disenfranchised, NOT social and economic advantage for the rich and privileged.

Jesus would also earn the contempt of religious conservatives because Jesus questioned authority (riotously when the Moneychangers desecrated the Temple), something the authoritarian, conservative would never dream of doing.

part of my life in the State where the masked dunce-cap and dirty bed-sheet claque marched up Denver's 16th Street; over Broadway to 14th Ave; and up to the South East Corner of 14th Ave. and Grant Street - the Colorado Consistory Scottish Rite Temple - where they doffed their robes and masks, hung them in the cloakroom, and went diagonally across the street to the State Capitol to do Legislative business for the rest of the day; I can, most certainly, agree with your posting.

The Teabaghead/Republiklan-Party may leave the masked dunce-caps and dirty bed-sheets in the cloakroom these days, and forego marching and parading as well.  But their dedication and devotion to the deepest hatred for the very ideas of social and economic justice and secular Civil Rights; together with their insistence upon "Upper Class" absolute privilege - based upon one's greed, and skill at amassing a large bank account, by swindling as many of the poor as possible out of what little they have - remain just as basic and fundamental to their natures, programs, and policies as has been usual and customary throughout many of the recent decades of their existence.

Kooks, Klutzes, and Krazies they certainly are.  Christians - even with a "K", they most certainly ARE NOT!

person's apostasy.  Religion ruins lives.  That about all I see.

The fruits of the toil of millions are boldly stolen to build up colossal fortunes for a few, unprecedented in the history of mankind; and the possessors of those, in turn, despise the republic and endanger liberty. - Omaha Platform, 1892
