    two bases, putting about 150 EMS workers out on the street. With 10 days notice. Which will put a monkey wrench into patient's schedules on a pretty large scale. All in a day's mismanagement.

        article about local hospital acquisition by for profit chain indicates that the strategy of the for profits is to dump low reimbursement insurance companies, and only accept high paying policies. Thus the sick and injured get billed at full retail instead of wholesale. Yet one of the main points of the Affordable Care Act is to lower medical costs, while improving quality. Some For Profit hospitals seem intent on ignoring the intent of the legislation. But, as "Justice" (full airquotes) Roberts would have it, corporations are only human.
