  •  The problem with getting the "right" answer (0+ / 0-)

    for the wrong reasons is that it virtually ensures that few right answers will be arrived at.

    If an engineer looks at the following equations:

    2+4 = 4; 2x2 = 4

    And concludes that addition and multiplication are equivalent operations we'd be in some deep shit, despite the possibility of getting the right answer occasionally.

    Yes, minor kudos for Brewer, but her motives were financial, not upholding any ideal such as "equal protection under the law".

      not the wrong ones in her speech.  And she slapped down the legislature.  She did not have to do that.

      Look, she's done a lot of bad things, and I am still ticked at Obama for taking away our previous governor, but I will praise correct behavior when I see it.

      At least she's not in that group who always votes against their self-interest.  How do you reason with them?
