    •  She's from MA. (0+ / 0-)

Since 1988 three nominees have been from MA both D and R and all lost. I wish it didn't matter but apparently it does.

      •  They were all boring. (0+ / 0-)

Dukakis, Kerry, Romney--all dull as dirt.

Warren is interesting. She connects to regular people on an emotional level. That trumps geography.

    •  Two things: (2+ / 0-)

      A) Senator Professor Dr. Warren has repeatedly indicated that she is uninterested in a presidential bid, regardless of how awesome she'd be, or how thrilled progressives would be to have a progressive candidate; and,

      2) It is entirely possible that Elizabeth Warren does the progressive cause more good in the Senate, particularly given how tight it's going to be to hold Democratic control.

        (A) Yeah, I know she's said she doesn't plan to run. I hope she can be drafted.

(2)(a) Her Senate term isn't up till 2018, so she doesn't have to give up her Senate seat unless she wins the Presidency. And if she does, the odds are HIGH that a Dem will take that Senate seat in Mass.

(2)(b) We have to move our strongest candidate to the top of the ticket. Doesn't matter if Dems hold the Senate, if anything good they pass will be vetoed by President Rand Paul.
