Just like much of what the US is about. This country wouldn't be worth jack shit in terms of the kind of modern country that it is (but less so each day) were it not for massive government intervention in the economy, including oil. These self-styled idiot self-reliant teabagger types would be living in mud huts and having sex with their pigs were it not for government. How stupid does one have to be to be a "conservative"? My god, they really think that oil and car companies give them the lives they have all by themselves? And Jesus?

This country breeds a special kind of stupid, in this case Texas style.

So many wildcats there's just too many to choose from - just off the top of my head there are:

Kansas State (where wind farms are terrific!)
            Arizona
            Kentucky
            Villanova
            Northwestern

I'm sure there are so many others.  None in my background however, in part because of growing up disliking one of those.

How on earth this expression started, I have no idea. What do wild felines have to do with hitting an unexpected gusher?

However, I'm guessing that not all Wildcat teams are oil well -based. Are there even any oil wells in Evanston, IL?

oil product flows up out of the ground on a controlled basis.  I don't recall seeing any oil derricks the one time I drove through there (using my petroleum powered automobile).
