    Vows. My husband and I promised to "love, honor and cherish" each other.

    Yes, there was a blurb in there "will you accept  children as a gift from God?"  But that was a yes/no question posed to the couple as opposed to the vows recited by each individual.

    We had an old-school priest too, totally by the book. It wasnt like we had Father Harry the Hippie.

    Probably, it's because the Catholic Church, for all its faults, knows this verse pretty well:

    And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
    It worries me at times like this that his local Diocese doesn't tell Bill to stand down or evict him for the office space they provide him. He's out there spewing stuff that simply is against Catholic teaching.
