    1) the Texas Legislature doesn't work in even-numbered years anyways

    2) early primaries mean early qualifying deadlines means that incumbents have a better chance while challengers have to get in early or else

    3) The runoffs are taking longer these days because of new requirements involving federal absentee ballots sent overseas to military members/etc. The same thing is also moving primaries out of September and into August

    The Republican Party isn't a party of small government, it's a party of a government for the few. @bhindepmo

      whose state still has a September primary, because logic. /grumble

      although in all fairness I've gotten my general election ballot plenty early in the past.

      Living in Kyoto-06 (Japan), voting in RI-01, went to college in IL-01.
