      so other good candidates would have a good argument to keep Sink in that seat.

        but he's younger than Sink and has the star power of being the guy who beat Allen West.

      •  GOP will be favored to hold house in 2016. (0+ / 0-)

        Generally speaking, the House does not flip control during presidential years (the last time that happened was in 1952). If conditions stay the same as they are now - Obama with approvals in the low 40s, still-sluggish economy, and no incumbent president, the environment will favor Republicans. Picking up 25 House seats (assuming the GOP gains 5-10 this year) could be very difficult for Democrats.
