    lived in Kentucky, I have a serious question for you. Why are you posting here if you're a Republican? Mightn't you ought to register as a Democrat?

      However, in KY, I originally registered as a Republican.  You have to vote your registered party in the primary.  I never changed it, as there were never a variety of Democrats to choose from - and there were certainly lots of scary Republicans to choose from.

      So I always vote in the GOP primary, to try and get the "worse" candidate against the Dem.  

      That's a fairly common thing for some folks to do, and not just in KY.

      My fear with Bevins is that he "could" defeat Grimes.  McConnell is so hated, I think he's the best candidate to go against Grimes (best chance of her winning)

          Republican in the suburbs of a northern city.  Those are now pretty much "moderate Democrats".  I'm a bit further left than that :-)
