Where are these defenders of gun rights and the importance of having a gun to protect one's self?  It would seem to me that this is a perfect case for them, certainly cleaner than Zimmerman and Dunn.  Here there is a credible threat and a history of attacks.  In this case it is hard to argue that the gun owner did not have a real, reasonable fear for her safety and the safety of her children.

In Georgia this week they declined to prosecute a man who shot a 70 year old Alzheimer patient who wandered into the man's yard a 3am in the morning.  The police were on their way and yet the gun owner went out of his locked house, confronted the "intruder" and then when the "intruder" came towards him he shot him dead.  Explain the difference, why one is prosecuted and the other isn't.

So why hasn't the right risen up and defended this woman?  What is different about this case, other than there is no body on the ground?  Their lack of attention is telling.

bill through the legislature that would legalize firing a warning shot to stop an attack - a bill inspired by the Marissa Alexander case.
OTOH, I don't know if it legalizes going to the ex-boyfriend's house and then firing a warning shot.
